Tracee Ellis Ross, Golden Brooks, Persia White, and Jill Marie Jones Dish on ‘Girlfriends’ Reunion, Possible Movie Ahead of ‘Black-ish’ Episode [Video]

As previously reported, tonights episode of ‘Black-ish’ (October 8) will give fans the highly anticipated ‘Girlfriends’ reunion of Tracee Ellis Ross, Golden Brooks, Persia White, and Jill Marie Jones.

The ladies will join Tracee on her series, and give fans the nostalgia they’ve been longing for since the show went off the air back in 2008.

During their recent press run to promote the episode, the ladies dished on reuniting and the on again off again talk of an official ‘Girlfriends’ reboot or movie.

Ross also visited ‘EW’ on a solo interview and dished on how fans can get engaged to help the cause.

“Well, here’s what I’ll say. [The hashtag] #GirlfriendsNow is what we decided that we’re going to use and we’re going to try and see what happens,” Ross says. “This is an opportunity for people to speak up for the final time and actually band together and make this happen.”

This isn’t the first time that talk of a ‘Girlfriends’ movie made headlines. Back in August of last year, the shows creator Mara Brock Akil visited ‘The Wendy Williams Show‘ and dished on the behind the scenes drama with trying to get the film made.
