Throwback Thursday: Brandy ‘Full Moon’ Album (12 Year Anniversary)

FullMoon

R&B icon Brandy recently celebrated the 12th anniversary of her groundbreaking third album that to this day has been christened by many fans and industry elites as the R&B and vocal bible. ‘Full Moon’ was released in February of 2012 and  debuted on top of the U.S. Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and at number 2 on the Billboard 200, selling over 156,000 copies in its first week of release. It eventually received a platinum certification by the RIAA. While the album entered the top twenty on the majority of the charts it appeared on outside the United States, it also reached the top ten in Canada, Germany, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Brandy and the FM album serve as a personal favorite of mine to this day, and like many I have a deep emotional connection to this album and her that is not very common in this era of fast food music. Albums and songs like this simply aren’t made anymore by any artist.

To pay homage to Bran and celebrate the album, today’s Throwback Thursday is not just one, but a few of the gems that graced the project including my personal faves including performances. If you have never heard or purchased this album, do yourself a favor and get a copy now! You will thank me for it!
