Shaunie O’ Neal Dragged on Twitter After Announcing Women’s Empowerment Event with VH1 Leading Ladies

Posted January 8, 2020

Shaunie O’ Neal just wanted to kick off her 2020 with a fresh start, and some positivity–but the people have not forgotten or forgiven her for all the drama that surrounded ‘Basketball Wives‘ last season, specifically as it pertains to the bullying and colorism of castmate/fan fave, OG Chijindu.

The BBW’s executive producer and star took to social media on Tuesday (Jan. 7) to reveal that she would be participating in a Women’s Empowerment Event hosted by VH1, that will bring together several influential women and stars from VH1 shows such as ‘Love & Hip Hop‘ and her own.

The accompanying flyer featured images of Jackie Christie, Amara La Negra, and Toya Johnson (formerly Wright) who are slated to appear on the panel.

Immediately upon sharing, Shaunie was swarmed by commenters (still furious with her) who were not here for her being part of a Women’s Empowerment, when her reputation of empowering and supporting women, has been questionable.

The dragging continued over on her Instagram, where she shared the same post. You can get into some of the comments by clicking in below.

The news comes weeks after it was reported that Shaunie had been demoted from her highly touted executive producer role on ‘Basketball Wives,’ which she has so far denied.
