VH1 pulled an unexpected surprise a month ago when the network announced that it would be cancelling it’s lone scripted series ‘Single Ladies’ after 3 successful seasons on the channel which is dominated by reality shows. The show aired its series finale a little under two weeks ago and now comes confirmation for fans that the show will indeed get a second chance at life courtesy of BET/Centric! According to reports from the LA Times:
Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit Entertainment company, which produces “Single Ladies,” is developing an all-new fourth season as part of a new exclusive programming partnership with BET Networks’ Centric, which is being positioned as the first network aimed at black females.
Under the deal, Flavor Unit, which is owned by Latifah and her partner Shakim Compere, will produce new shows in addition to “Single Ladies” for the network.
