Days ago, media outlets began reporting that a Destiny’s Child reunion and world tour was in the works, as Beyonce is ready to bring together her sisters Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams together to hit the road next year.

According to the Sun, the singer wants the upcoming reunion to “include brand new music and a lucrative tour of the U.S. and Europe next year.”

“She saw the success of the Spice Girls tour and wants to replicate that – but far bigger and better,” the source divulged, adding that meetings with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams have taken place and they have been “discussing what they can do.”

The group is said to be interested in doing a tour that is short enough for them to fit into their schedules, but extensive enough so that fans can be sure to attend a concert.

Well over this past weekend, Kelly dropped by the annual Beautycon Festival LA 2019 where she addressed the rumors with ET’s Cassie DiLaura and seemingly shut down the reports, but also has us thinking she is playing coy.

“That was news to me, just as much as it was to you!”

“I was like, ‘Oh! My god, a tour is happening! Someone call me.”

“Everybody’s supportive of each other’s personal ventures right now.”

“If it were to happen, I would want it to be a surprise. I feel like we know so much now. News is right at your fingertips and sometimes it’s very bad journalism! Shame on you, whoever reported that.”

While quite convincing, the “surprise” piece of her answer leads us to believe that if it were to happen, she nor her group members would confirm it until they are ready to do so on their own terms.

Stay tuned.
