Congrats are ALMOST in order for Lizzo, as the fast-rising newcomer is one week away from breaking a Billboard record and making history.

As previously confirmed, Lizzo is on track to dethrone Iggy Azalea‘s ‘Fancy‘ as the longest-running no. 1 single by a female rap artist with her single ‘Truth Hurts‘–and as of this week she has officially one week out from doing so according to Billboard.

“Truth,” released on Nice Life/Atlantic Records, doubles the record for the longest Hot 100 command for a rap No. 1 by a female artist unaccompanied by another act, having surpassed Cardi B’s three-week rule with “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” in October 2017. (One other rap No. 1 by a female artist and no accompanying acts has led the list: Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop [That Thing],” for two weeks in 1998.)

Among all rap No. 1s by female artists, “Truth” moves to within one week of potentially tying for the longest domination: Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” featuring Charli XCX, led for seven weeks in 2014.

“Truth” rebounds for a fifth week atop the Digital Song Sales chart, up 19% to 30,000 sold in the week ending Oct. 3, according to Nielsen Music, and tops Radio Songs for a third week, up 2% to 122 million audience impressions in the week ending Oct. 6. It rises 7-6 on Streaming Songs, up 1% to 27.8 million U.S. streams in the week ending Oct. 3.

“Truth” additionally notches a seventh frame at No. 1 on both the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs genre charts (which employ the same multi-metric methodology as the Hot 100).

Meanwhile, Lizzo earns her second top 40 Hot 100 hit, as “Good as Hell” surges 43-30. The track bullets at No. 8 on Digital Song Sales (12,000, up 16%), debuts at No. 40 on Radio Songs (24.1 million, up 50%) and gains by 10% to 11.4 million streams.

This news comes after a brief “tiff” with Azalea via social media last week where the rapper urged fans to stream Lizzo’s direct competition in order to stop her chances of taking the no. 1 spot.

This came after Lizzo tweeted to her fans encouraging them to support and stream her single in order to extend her record.

“YALL… IF WE KEEP THIS UP FOR 2 MORE WEEKS… TRUTH HURTS COULD BE THE LONGEST FEMALE RAP #1 OF ALL TIME….. RIGHT NOW ITS ‘FANCY,’” Lizzo wrote on Twitter. “CAN WE DO IT?!”

“Fancy is a BOP and my homie @charli_xcx is genius on it”

Iggy then tweeted an indirect reply to Lizzo, feeling slighted for not being mentioned in her initial tweets.

“I could have SWORN I was the one rapping that song but okay…”

Iggy later clarified that tweet, writing, “I’m down to be petty in the name of a laugh or two but in all seriousness I’m just trolling and laughing at all the funny replies.”

“I promise it’s not serious; at least not for me,”

Well Lizzo took to Instagram this week to celebrate her news.

Congrats to Lizzo!
