The family of O.J. Simpson announced his death on Thursday (April 11), and as expected the world and social media are all talking.

While the family reveals that the NFL legend passed on Wednesday, April 10, they made their announcement Thursday confirming that he passed following a battle with cancer.

“On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace. -The Simpson Family”

Following their confirmation, social media reacted to the news, and one of his biggest critics, Caitlyn Jenner took to Twitter and gave her reaction.

While Jenner shared a tweet that read “good riddance” her comments blew up from folks reminding her of the 2015 car crash she was involved in that left a woman dead.

Caitlyn was not charged in that case, however, she was ordered to pay an $800,000 settlement to the family of the deceased woman.

Get into just some of the reactions below.

Before her transition, Caitlyn (formerly Bruce Jenner) was married to Kris Jenner when Simpson was acquitted in 1995 of the murders of their mutual friend and Simpson’s wife, Nicole Brown; and her friend Ron Goldman.

Kris met Jenner in 1990, a year before her divorce from Robert Kardashian was finalized. They married in April 1991, almost four years before Robert Kardashian served as part of Simpson’s legal team for the trial.
