Actress and fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker, who’s famously known for her role as Carrie Bradshaw (Sex in the City), covers the May issue of InStyle Uk magazine. With the recent success of her self titled shoe line with Nordstrom, Parker’s name is once again thrust back into the spotlight. Inside the pages, the mother of three opens up about her failed partnership with the Halston brand and what’s it like juggling a family, a booming acting career and her upcoming fashion line. Check out the excerpts below.
About her family:
“It’s complicated when you’re working crazy hours,” Sarah Jessica said of family life. “But the kids are a joy, even when they’re not. I had one child only for nearly seven years and thought I had the blueprint. Then these two girls came, and not only were they girls, they were as different from one another as they could possibly be – physically, emotionally, disposition wise.”
About her work with Halston Heritage:
“I think the lesson there is was that you and your partner need to want the same thing. There was a naivety on my part, and who could say no to running Halston Heritage? But I couldn’t fix an organism that was ailing. It was tough because you feel defeated.”
