If you follow blogs and social media than you more than likely saw the clip of Aretha Franklin allegedly throwing shade to Patti Labelle during a recent concert at The White House. Well now comes the full concert from that night hosted by The Obama’s and televised on PBS.
The event billed ‘Women of Soul: In Performance at The White House’ featured AHHHmazing performances from electric ladies Janelle Monae, Jill Scott, Ariana Grande, as well as the legends Aretha and Patti.
Jill delivered a cover of Aretha’s classic hit ‘Rock Steady’ as well as her single ‘Golden’, while Janelle brilliantly and effortlessly performed a cover of the Shirley Bassey classic ‘Goldenfinger’ and dazzled on her track ‘Tightrope’ and Ariana covered Whitney Houston‘s ‘I Have Nothing’.
