Mya has pulled a fast one over on us.

As we previously told you last week TMZ reported that the singer had secretly married in a private ceremony on a small island in East Africa. Mya then took to Instagram days later to fuel the fire by confirming her “wedding” and thanking fans for their well wishes.

She even sealed it by saying she was “Officially Mrs. Lansky” but didn’t provide any further info on the groom.

Well, it turns out Mya’s “wedding” was a carefully crafted marketing tool to promote her new single and video ‘The Truth‘ where she marries herself in the visual.
