It was reported months ago that ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ was slated to end this year at the end of season 13, although fans were hopeful that Wendy Williams would make a triumphant return to the show as she teased.
Well, it has been confirmed that Friday (June 17) is the official last day for the wildly popular show, and as expected, Wendy will not be present for the grand finale; but a video tribute will take place.
“The final original episode of The Wendy Williams Show will air on Friday, June 17th, with a video tribute to the iconic host. The series comes to an end after 13 successful years in syndication,” a spokesperson for the show confirmed in an official statement.
It was announced in February that a daytime syndicated talk show hosted by Sherri Shepherd, also produced-distributed by Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury, will make a syndication debut on the Fox Television Stations and broadcasters nationwide this fall, taking over Wendy’s current time slot.
Reportedly, many of Wendy’s staffers are heading over to the Sherri show and have been sharing snaps of their last days in the studio.

Like many, we were hopeful that Wendy would get better and make a return to her talkshow to save it from cancelation before the Spring finale.
However, fans began to lose hope following a recent interview with Fat Joe where Wendy did not seem well.
Here’s hoping that Wendy can push through her current situation and get back on our screens (or radios) soon!
