Winning: Toni Braxton Movie Brings In 3.6 Mill In Monster Ratings For Lifetime, Toni Announces New Album [Video]

It looks like the anticipation behind Lifetime’s Toni Braxton biopic Unbreak My Heart, paid off tremendously for the network as the final ratings have been unveiled.

Per Lifetime,

Saturday’s world premiere of the Lifetime Original Movie Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart sang to 3.6 million Total Viewers, according to Nielsen Fast Cable Ratings.

Starring newcomer Lex Scott Davis as the seven-time Grammy® Award-winning R&B icon, the film also averaged 1.8 million Adults 25-54, 1.7 million Adults 18-49, 1.4 million Women 25-54 and 1.3 million Women 18-49 in its 8:00pm time period.

Moreover, Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart became cable’s number one original movie with Adults 25-54, Women 25-54 and Women 18-49 in a year since the January 2015 premiere of the Lifetime Original Movie Whitney, as well as the best among ad-supported cable with Adults 18-49 since Whitney.

That’s not all, following the movie at 10 p.m., the interview special “Beyond the Headlines: Toni Braxton” drew 2.8 million total viewers. Congrats to Lifetime, Toni, and the cast! we certainly enjoyed the film.

In other Toni news, ahead of the premiere- the singer stopped by Sway In The Morning to dish on the film and her storied career. During the sit down, the singer also revealed that new music is on the way, including a sequel to her Grammy award winning album Love, Marriage, & Divorce with long time friend and collaborator Babyface.
