R&B King Usher has been in the midst of some controversy the past few days over comments he made regarding Nicki Minaj being a “product” of Lil’ Kim.
While his comments ring true to many Hip Hop historians, many Nicki fans were not pleased with his statements and took to social media to troll the iconic singer since last week.
Well, ahead of Memorial Day weekend, Usher has responded to the backlash. The singer held an intimate live performance on Verizon’s YouTube to support America’s small businesses.
The #PayItForwardLIVE event was live-streamed, and Usher played many of his classic hits, some yet to be released material from his new album, as he was joined by longtime friends and producers Jermaine Dupri and Brian Cox.
Usher even took a little time to address his Nicki/Kim comments and clarify what he meant.
