Posted November 22, 2021

It’s been several months since the music world mourned the loss of Rapper-Actor, DMX when the rap legend tragically passed away in early April—but X still lives on!

The rap titan was in the process of filming his very own documentary at the time of his death, and now we have an official trailer for the project titled ‘Don’t Try to Understand‘ set to air on HBO Max.

Directed by Chris Frierson, the film follows a year in the life of X as he worked to rebuild his career and life after his release from prison for tax evasion in January 2019. The clip shows as the rapper navigates business meetings, an upcoming tour, and balancing his family life, with never-before-seen footage and conversations with DMX and those closest to him.

Get into the trailer below.

Fans won’t have to wait too long to see the documentary, as it will premiere on Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. on HBO Max.
