Ariana Grande may have just released her latest album ‘Sweetener‘ last August, but that isn’t stopping the petite singer from pressing forward with her new music.
Following the smash hit single ‘Thank U, Next‘ and it’s accompanying viral visual, the singer is readying a brand new album of the same title as the single. On Friday morning, she unveiled the follow up to the track.
The new single ‘7 Rings‘ has been teased by the singer for the past few weeks and Ariana calls it her “friendship anthem” that picks up where ‘Thank U, Next’ left off. The official video just dropped and sees Ariana flexing her rapping skills on the track; a first for the singer.
The singer says the song was inspired by a drunken trip to Tiffany’s with her girlfriends.
“Me and my friends went to Tiffany’s together, just because we needed some retail therapy. You know how when you’re waiting at Tiffany’s they give you lots of champagne? They got us very tipsy, so we bought seven engagement rings.”
