The cast of ‘Abbott Elementary’ is celebrating tonight as the show’s creator and stars have just snagged two major awards at Tuesday night’s 80th Annual Golden Globes.

Tyler James Williams won his first-ever Golden Globe Award for ‘Best Supporting Actor in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy’ for his role on ‘Abbott’.

The nomination is even more monumental because it is his first nomination ever.

The celebration continued as his co-star and the show’s creator, Quinta Brunson also snagged a major honor for the night.

Brunson snagged the award for ‘Best Actress in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy’ for her role as Janine Teagues.

This was the freshman year for the creator and star at the Globes. Tuesday night’s awards show also marked her first-ever nomination and win at the Golden Globes.

Check out her win and speech below.

‘Abbott Elementary’ was also nominated for television series, musical or comedy, supporting actor for Tyler James Williams, and actress for Sheryl Lee Ralph and Janelle James.

The series later won for ‘Best TV Series–Musical or Comedy’ and Quinta returned to the stage with the full cast to accept their award.

Kudos to Quinta and the entire cast and team behind the scenes.
