As always, I’ve been in my “R&B junkie” mood and this week was no different as I was scrolling through my never ending catalog music, I stumbled upon one the hottest groups to emerge from R&B in the 90’s, Dru Hill.

The quartet consisting of  Tamir “Nokio the N-Tity” Ruffin, lead singer Mark “Sisqó” Andrews, Larry “Jazz” Anthony, and James “Woody Rock” Green shot to fame in 1996 with the release of their self titled debut album and instantly drew comparisons to another iconic R&B group, Jodeci. However these Baltimore natives quickly proved they were their own brand and for several years had a consistent string of no. 1 and top 10 hits on Billboard.

However, its the song that made the world take notice that we are throwbacking to today, the second single from their debut…“In My Bed.” The single spent three weeks at number-one on the US R&B chart and peaked at number four on the US pop chart, but it was its highly talked about video that was the talk of the town.

The video was quite controversial at that time, as it focused on Sisqó’s girlfriend, who cheats on him with another man as well as the other members of the group, but Sisqó doesn’t know anything about it. At the end of the video, the singer catches her in the act, but not with who everyone was expecting.
