Posted May 5, 2021

Sunday brought with it the long-awaited season premiere of ‘Pose‘ on FX, for it’s third and final season.

While devoted fans were already uber excited to tune in, the hype was even more amplified by the controversial speech made by the show’s executive producer and director, Janet Mock just days ahead of the premiere at the final season premiere party held on Thursday.

To add to the anticipation, the premiere night saw it deliver not just the first episode of the season, but also episode 2–and now the ratings are in for both.

Season 3/Episode 1 Total viewership: 498k viewers for the 10pm showing

Season 3/Episode 2 Total viewership: 370k viewers at the 11pm showing

Get into the full Sunday night cable ratings rundown below.

Certainly not the numbers fans were looking forward to, but the slump could easily be attributed to the new night and time as the show was moved from its usual Wednesday night slot it’s maintained since its inception.

Here’s to hoping the viewership increases for the remainder of the season.
