Rapper T.I. is inserting himself in more business that isn’t his own, per usual. On Monday, T.I. offered up his thoughts of DaBaby’s recent homophobic comments.

While on stage at Rolling Loud Miami on Sunday, DaBaby went on a rant against the LGBTQ+ community while on stage and the community and allies are not here for it.

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, any of them deadly sexually-transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two, three weeks, put a cell phone lighter up…Fellas, if you ain’t suckin’ dick in the parking lot, put your cell phone lights up.”

DaBaby’s remarks sparked major backlash on social media, prompting T.I. to respond. He came to DaBaby’s defense, while randomly referencing Lil Nas X, who is openly gay.

“If Lil Nas X can kick his shit in peace… so should dababy,”

Despite his stance, T.I. claims he is not homophobic and even referenced that while he applauds LNX and Frank Ocean for “living their truth,” he doesn’t support their music or his children seeing/listening to it.

“Ain’t nothing in the world gon’ make me hate somebody cause they do something different in the bedroom than I do,” he said on Instagram Live. “You can’t make me homophobic just ‘cause I’m proud to be heterosexual. Ain’t no hate in that.”

“A lot of you motherfu**ers hide your truth. I got a lot of respect for [Lil Nas X], but that shit ain’t for me. I don’t want my children seeing it either. Their minds haven’t developed to the place where they can sort it out.”

Meanwhile, DaBaby has responded to the backlash and attempted to clarify his comments.

“All my fans at the show, the gay ones and the straight ones, we turned the f**k up,” he added. “My boy that was at the front of the stage left over there, ask him. We were turnt all night. My boy had the crop top on, front row. He out there in that jungle, in that water. He knew the words. I saw him. I was rappin’ them bitches with him.”

“I said if you don’t got AIDS put a cell phone light up. I said if you ain’t suck d**k in the parking lot put your cell phone lights up, so I could drop my next song. I wasn’t goin’ on no rant. That’s called a call-to-action. That’s what that’s called, ’cause I’m a live performer. I’m the best live performer. I’m the live show killer.”

“Even my gay fans, don’t got f**kin’ AIDS, stupid ass ni**as. They don’t got AIDS. My gay fans, they take care of themselves,” he said. “They ain’t goin’ for that. They ain’t no nasty gay ni**as. They ain’t no junkies. My gay fans, they got class. They ain’t suckin’ no d**k in no parking lot. You gotta get a room. A good one, 5-star hotel. You gotta wait to go to the crib. If they a fan of me, they on some big dog s**t. We ain’t just goin’ for nothin’. Even my gay fans got standards.”

“This s**t don’t concern y’all at all. Don’t be disturbin’ my motherf**kin’ gay fans. You ain’t supposed to get it. It ain’t supposed to translate through a little 6-second clip on the cell phone. You ain’t supposed to see that s**t anyway.”

Sigh!
