The legendary Stephanie Mills recently visited ‘The Breakfast Club‘ and dished on her iconic career, being a sugar mama, dating Michael Jackson and much more. Ms. Mills revealed that despite being a veteran in music, broadway, and entertainment, she does not have many industry friends or girlfriends specifically because women in the business were/are very catty and competitive. She named Freddie Jackson and Angela Winbush as two of her only real friends–but also acknowledged Chaka Khan and Anita Baker (who she says she’d like to do a joint tour with). She also revealed that she would love to give advice to the generation of singers who came after her, such as Mary J. Blige, but says they don’t seek it and their “handlers” don’t allow it–because many artists don’t want to hear the truth. While dishing on dating Michael Jackson early in his career, Stephanie made it very clear that the long standing rumors of him being a pedophile were absolutely not true based on the man she knew. She also reveals her thoughts on his physical transformation (which started after they stopped dating), and how she kept it real with him and told her she did not like it. She also dished on becoming a cougar in her 40’s and admits to being a sugar mama, and going as far as buying luxury cars for her younger men. Get into it below.
