Shade, shade and more shade. The drama surrounding the upcoming Lifetime network Whitney Houston bio-pic is getting messier by the day. After the family voiced their concerns with the film being made for TV and not having a say in creative control, now Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina is lashing out at her mom’s good pal Angela Bassett who is orchestrating the project.

It seems that although the family would prefer for the iconic singers story to be told on the big box office screen, Bobbi apparently is more upset that she wasn’t considered for the role of her mother. The troubled teen has stated before that she and her mother had many conversations about who would play her if there ever was a story of her life, and according to Bobbi her mom wanted no one but her only daughter to take the role.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, when asked why Bobbi was never considered  before it was announced that Yaya DeCosta would take on the role of Whitney, Angela revealed:

No, I did not think about that. I did not think about casting her. And probably for a number of reasons, you know. One being that she’s not an actress. I know she’s acted here and there. I know she’s been on their family’s reality show, but she’s not an actress and acting is a craft. It’s an attempt to illuminate the complexities of human behavior and life. And this is a very fast-paced schedule; we have just 21 days to tell this story. It’s more than just saying lines and turning the light on. You have to drive the story—there’s a technical aspect.

Shade but no shade at its finest, and that truthful shade apparently got back to Bobbi and had her feeling some type of way. Bobbi took to her Twitter to address Angela and the tweets have since been deleted but of course not before a good old screenshot captured it .

We understand Bobbi’s frustration however everything Angela stated was spot on. Acting is very much a craft and no one has seen Bobbi act, and the bit of singing we have seen her do, well let’s just say she didn’t get her mother’s beloved voice. Not to mention all the messiness that the family (specifically Bobbi and her brother/husband Nick Gordon) have been in has tarnished Whitney’s legacy, there’s no evidence that Bobbi would be ready for something as major as a role like this. She barely could keep herself together on the family reality show that aired only for one season, but we digress.
