The new ABC reboot of ‘New York Undercover‘ is fully underway and filming has begun in the big apple with Molik Yoba and Luna Lauren Velez returning as we previously told you weeks ago.

As previously confirmed, the show will pick up 20 years after the end of the original series, and will follow detectives Nat Gilmore (Toby Sandeman) and Melissa Ortiz (Otmara Marrero) as they investigate the city’s most dangerous criminals from Harlem to Battery Park. This time around, Williams (played by Yoba) is overseeing the unit and the next generation of detectives.

Malik took to Instagram to share some of the footage of he and his new co-stars on set.

According to reports, Rapper Fat Joe will also be appearing in the pilot for the new series as a new villain character.

He joins previously announced cast members Sandeman, Marrero, Anna Enger, MC Lyte, Octavio Pizano, Malik Yoba, and Luna Lauren Velez, with the final two set to reprise their roles from the original show.

Congrats to Joe who also joins fellow rapper, MC Lyte who was also cast in a lead role as we also told you.
