Janelle Monae is taking a stand as part of the #BlackLivesMatter movement and she along with her Wondaland Records family including Jidenna, are speaking out about it in their new song “Hell You Talmbout“.

Reportedly this week while in Philly for a rally against police brutality, Janelle and the crew chanted “hell you talmbout?” and shouted out multiple names of the victims such as Sean Bell, Freddie Gray, Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Sandra Bland, and more. Now she has placed the chants of those names in song in honor of their lives being taken at the hands of police brutality.

Their EP, Wondaland Presents: The Eephus, is due out on Friday and as we previously told you the Wondaland family is on the collective “The Eephus” Tour is doing secret pop up concerts in eight different cities at secret venues.

The next date is Saturday August 15 in DC and fans who previously submitted to win tickets in a drawing are waiting to get confirmation of the show location and time. Get into the new song below.
