Lifetime‘s ‘Surviving R. Kelly‘ miniseries was a massive success for the network and brought in major ratings when it premiered almost a year ago–while helping to bring down R. Kelly who for years avoided legal consequences for his alleged acts against young girls.

Well, now the network has announced that an official sequel will be airing in a few weeks.

Less than a year after Lifetime’s Surviving R. Kelly docuseries, the network has revealed the trailer for the sequel.

Entitled Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning, the six-hour docuseries will air over three consecutive nights starting on Jan. 3 and ending on Jan. 5.

The trailer showcases a number of interviews with the likes of Damon Dash, who proclaims, “Whoever’s acting like they didn’t know is lying.” R. Kelly’s ex-girlfriend Dominique Gardner, who has already revealed the abuse she suffered at the hands of the disgraced Chicago singer, also makes an appearance. The new episodes promise to look at the fallout of the first edition, and also teases further big revelations regarding the abuse he allegedly inflicted on so many women.

The R&B singer is currently awaiting trial in 2020 after charges were brought against him following the outrage and support of the first documentary.
