It looks like the long wait to release his new album, ‘Blond‘ has paid off for Frank Ocean, as the singer is set to take the top spot on Billboard.
According to Billboard, the set which arrived on Saturday night (Aug 20) exclusively through Apple, is predicted to sell 225,000-250,000 units in its first week. That’s nearly more than half of his previous album ‘channel ORANGE’ which sold 131,000 copies in its opening week back in 2012. It debuted and peaked at No. 2.
These estimates are very impressive and are only expected to grow once the album is released to other retailers (Amazon, Google Play, etc.) and not just exclusively to Apple. The set has already received rave reviews from fans and critics alike, as well as Frank’s peers.
