Lil Kim Confirms Biopic Is “Absolutely” In The Works “Everyone’s Gonna Know Things That They’ve Never Known”

Posted May 25, 2022

Lil Kim‘s long-overdue biopic is officially on the way!

The news came via the Queen Bee herself during the 50th birthday celebration for the late Notorious B.I.G. last Friday in New York. Kim dished on the details with The New York Post and gave fans some exciting updates.

When quizzed on previously teased plans of a biopic, Kim confirmed to the Post that things are officially taking shape and the project is “absolutely” in the works.

Minutes prior to spilling her biopic tea, the Brooklyn native, alongside some of Biggie’s closest friends and family members, was busy taking in the sights at the Empire State Building, where the fallen rap star will be memorialized with a special tribute Saturday.

And while speaking to The Post, Kim noted that the film will closely trail the release of her upcoming memoir, which is scheduled to hit shelves later this year.

In the book, Kim will unveil the intimate details of her undying love for Biggie, with whom, despite his being married to singer Faith Evans, 48, at the time of his death, she shared a passionate relationship.

“Oh my God,” said Kim of her forthcoming tell-all. “Everyone’s gonna know things that they’ve never known.”

The biopic appears to still be in the early stages as no other details were given and when quizzed on who will play her she stated “I don’t know…we’ll see.”

The news comes months after Kim’s highly-anticipated memoir ‘The Queen Bee’ was set to hit stores in November of 2021 but was ultimately pushed back.

At the time, Kim revealed to PEOPLE: “I’m excited to finally get to tell my story after all this time…Many people have thought they knew the story of Lil’ Kim, but they have no idea.”

No word on the new release date for the memoir.

Stay tuned!
