Jazmine Sullivan Confirms New EP and Album On The Way, Inspired By Recent Experience That “Rocked My World and Turned It Upside Down”

Posted December 9, 2019

It’s been five long years since Jazmine Sulivan released a full body of work, but now the singer has revealed she is set to release new music for fans in the new year.

The Philly native took to her Instagram story on Sunday to reveal that a recent major experience in her life has motivated her to get back in the studio and drop new material. The singer reveals that she will not release a full body of work, but an EP.

“So, I’ve been quiet for a min. And by a minute I mean 5 years,” wrote Sullivan. “But I just recently experienced something that has rocked my world and turned it upside down. Life is funny like that. And I’m almost sure it’s leading me on a path that will inspire an album. But for now an EP is on the way. Probably spring release. Love you all.”

The soon to be announced project will be her first release since her last studio album ‘Reality Show’ which was released in 2015.

Jazmine hasn’t been completely silent. Since her last release, she’s collaborated with Frank Ocean, Bryson Tiller, Pentatonix, PJ Morton and more. Her collaboration with PJ actually scored her a Grammy nomination.

Welcome back Jaz!
