JAY-Z is shutting down the possibility that anyone can go toe to toe against him on a Verzuz stage.
The Hip-Hop titan was a surprise guest during a Twitter Spaces chat to promote Alicia Keys’ new album KEYS on Tuesday, where he discussed a variety of topics including his wife, Beyonce, her legacy, and of course Verzuz.
When quizzed on who he thinks could be a contender against him, HOV made it clear that there is not one artist living that could see him.
“Can’t nobody stand on that stage with me. I ain’t gonna lie–no disrespect, everyone’s amazing in what they’ve done. No one can stand on stage with me…
“There’s not a chance in hell that anyone can stand on that stage with me for I don’t know how long it is, two hours. You gotta stand in front of the ‘Grammy Family (Freestyle)’ live. No one’s ever even seen me perform that and you gotta stand in front of that. That ain’t gonna never happen, man.”

He also dished on recent debates and constant comparisons on whether Beyonce is bigger than the iconic Michael Jackson.
“Bey’s gonna be mad at me for saying this, but Michael Jackson ain’t never have Coachella. He’s amazing and he’s done amazing things, but she’s an evolution of him because she watched him when she was nine. She watched what he did and she improved upon the concept.”
