Just yesterday Atlanta‘s V103 went through a huge shake up for their highly popular morning show led by Frank Ski. Longtime co-host, Wanda Smith and Miss Sophia were informed that that their services were no longer needed at the station.

Well now not even 24 hours later, their replacements have been revealed and one in particular we are Sooooo here for. Jade Novah and JR will now take over the morning show alongside Frank Ski, starting January 22 according to AJC.

In a press release (which I was not sent), boss Rick Caffey made it clear the station is focusing on expanding its digital side. Jade and JR, two web-savvy Millennials, would certainly help. It’s also an eye to the future as the station chases much-needed but difficult-to-reach younger listeners in this day of Spotify, Pandora and Apple Music.

“In addition to mornings on-air, the show will be an integral part of V-103’s digital content initiative,” Caffey said. “We look forward to celebrating the city’s urban culture and to providing our listeners with fresh, engaging content on all the platforms we know they love.” (I left him a voicemail and email message seeking further comment.)

If you’ve followed this site long enough, you know we’ve been day one Jade supporters and even had the opportunity to interview her for early on in the first year of our site launching.

If you’re not familiar, Jade is an independent artist who just released her debut project ‘All Blue’ last year and is also known for her amazing covers on YouTube as well as her distinctive and spot on Beyonce impersonation.

Jade also was recently recognized with the Viral Sensation Award at the first ever Urban One Honors held in D.C.

Congrats to both she and JR.
