Its been over two years since R&B group Xscape reunited as a foursome to give long-time fans the long-awaited reunion and tour that they begged years for.

While the outing itself–‘The Great Xscape Tour‘–did extremely well and trekked over the United States for over a year or so, the fans one last wish for new music was put on hold due to member, Kandi Burruss holding out.

The singer/songwriter turned reality star made it very clear to fans in multiple interviews that she would not be joining her members Tiny, Latocha, and Tameka in recording new works. Primarily due to her busy schedule at the time, and also due to fears of tainting their legacy with the current climate of the industry (sales, politics, etc.).

Alas, the trio went on to release a single EP ‘Here For It‘ in March of 2018, with several new songs not featuring Kandi on the project.

Well fast forward a little over a year later, it seems as though Kandi has changed her tune and just confirmed that she will indeed join the ladies as they record and release one more album.

The news came via Kandi’s social media on Tuesday night (Sep.10) as she shared personal footage and revealed that the decision to record the album came via an unexpected public plea from her mother, Mama Joyce during the Black Music Honors that filmed this past weekend., where the ladies were honored with the Urban Music Icon Award.
