Confirmed: ‘Jersey Shore’ Reunion Show In The Works, Full Cast Spotted Filming, Set To Premiere In August [Details]

Posted July 13, 2017

It looks like fans of the hit MTV reality series ‘Jersey Shore‘ should get excited, as it has been revealed that the full original cast is reuniting for a new reunion themed series.

It seems though that the new series has run into a few speed bumps as it won’t be appearing on MTV according to the network, and they are having trouble getting permission to film at their old stomping grounds.

Cast members from the hit MTV show “Jersey Shore” have been spotted with camera crews in Point Pleasant Beach and Asbury Park within the past month to shoot a “Jersey Shore” reunion, according to the Asbury Park Press.

Cast members from the MTV show shared their excitement about the reunion over social media. Female cast member Deena Nicole Cortese tweeted a photo of her with fellow “Jersey Shore” cast members Polizzi, Farley, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola at the STK steakhouse in New York City a few weeks after filming.

Early last month, Polizzi revealed her excitement at the possibility of a reunion show in an interview with E! News.

“Yes! Polizzi said. “but not for a long time because I have kids. Like for a week.”

While the format, channel and outlet for the show have not yet been released, an MTV spokesperson told the Asbury Park Press that it was not part of a project with the network.

According to Asbury Park city officials, the show’s producer, Los Angeles-based Bright Road Productions, was granted a permit to film on the Asbury Park beach and boardwalk. However, producers were denied permission to film inside the Langosta Lounge restaurant on the boardwalk.

The “Jersey Shore” reunion show was also rejected by Seaside Heights, which is where the original “Jersey Shore” filmed from 2009 to 2012, back when it was produced by 495 Productions.

A revamped version of “MTV Beach House”, also in Seaside Heights over a decade ago, was filmed in the Loveladies section of Long Beach Township on Long Beach Island last month.

TMZ got a bit more detail on what we can expect:

Production sources tell us … a cable network will showcase the current versions of SnookiJWowwPauly DThe Situation and company for a TV special on the impact of the reality show on their lives, and where they are now.

We’re told the reunion is not a full series pickup — either a one-time special or just a couple episodes — and will have a documentary feel.

Our sources say the special will be the first of several, reuniting casts from various popular shows that aired back in the day.

Snooki posted pics of herself and her female co-stars out and about last week in Jersey with the apt caption, “Reunion Time.”

We’re excited! Stay tuned.
